EDUCATION IN THAILAND: A TERRIBLE FAILURE

   In Thailand, there are many problems about the education especially the educational system that come from the Ministry of Education. Moreover, changing of educational system always makes Thai student confuse about the process and management with the education. So, Thai government must be finding the solution to bring about Thai education pass crisis. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Education bright the variety of ideas to improve the system in Thailand such as paid for a lot of money to hire foreign teacher from western zone and put in the technology system to help for teaching student but finally is failed. All of these issues that happened in Thai country has affected the thinking and find a solution to this crisis occurred. Many different the government's efforts try to find the way to resolve this crisis. There is no government that can resolve this problem.

           One of the important problems, the laziness of Thai students occurs in many areas. There are many causes of this problem. Such as, some subject includes with many lesson and more issue. So, it made Thai student avoid coming to class or sleeping in class too. According to my interviews from different area, Mr. Singkhonkhet, P. (school teacher from out of town province) said about Thai children have problem with the laziness following;

       “I really teach in high school level in foundation of English subject. The problem that I found with Thai students is they often sleep and some of them missed in the class. Because of them thought about the subject matter be boring. So, I try to find the way that solve with this problem. For example, I use the information technology to help me about teaching process. I integrate English subject across technology system such as learning English across Facebook and E-learning system. Internet connection is the good way to support my teaching style better than past”

         The next problems of Thai education is self – confident of Thai students, I have a chance to interview my friend from Mae Fah Luang University. She worked in English tutor institute in Chiang Rai. She talked about Thai students was failed in English following;

     “I worked in this English tutor for 2 years. I found one important problem about Thai children. They fear to talk, with friends together in English. Moreover, they try to avoid from conversation with foreigners. For example, when tourists from other countries come to Chiang Rai, they want to ask Thai children somewhere. They want to know about how can they go to Doi Tung but Thai children cannot answer them. Because of they fear they will speak English incorrectly. Moreover, I also make a confident them to brave conversation in English”       

   There are some important problems that found with Thai students in nowadays. However, Thai education system is a lost cause. The best solution for all Thai students is to be able to understand this crisis. Thai government has to give the advice from teacher orientations and try to solve this problem together for the development with the education in Thailand.
